First Lady Idell Clark Ward was born in Jones County, MS. She has been married to James C. Ward for thirty-three years and has been First Lady of Antioch-Lithonia Missionary Baptist Church since March, 1995. She is the mother of three children, a son and two daughters; and the proud grandmother of eleven, five boys and six girls.
Mrs. Ward is involved in many ministries of Antioch, but is especially active in Toastmasters. She is a First Lady that reaches out to all. Instead of being served, she enjoys serving everyone; truly operating in her "Gift of Helps". Mrs. Ward takes pride in being, "Just Plain Nell," nothing fancy, but is known by Pastor Ward's pet name for her "My Beauty Queen".
